Warren, Conn. — November 3 — Members of the Warren Volunteer Fire Company (WVFC) participated in smoke house training, a crucial activity intended to replicate actual fire conditions in a secure setting. While outside teams worked on ladder operations and air pack changeouts, crews inside rehearsed navigating through extreme heat, poor visibility, and simulated victim searches.
The training reinforced vital skills in teamwork, communication, and decision-making—elements that are critical when responding to real emergencies. Exercises like these help ensure WVFC firefighters remain prepared to protect lives and property efficiently and safely.
