Two Transported After Collision on East Fort King Street

(OCALA, FL.) Nov. 8, 2022 – On Monday, Nov. 7, shortly after 7 p.m. Ocala Fire Rescue’s Engine 5, Rescue 5, Rescue 2, Battalion Chief 22, and a safety officer were dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire on East Fort King Street and Northeast 31st Avenue.

Although there was no fire, crews arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle accident with rollover and entrapment. One vehicle, the Toyota, was upright with an ambulatory driver. The second vehicle, the Nissan, was resting on its side with the driver trapped inside.

Firefighters stabilized the Nissan and removed the windshield to gain access to the driver. The driver of the Nissan was extricated and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

The driver of the Toyota was also transported.

The Ocala Police Department and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
