Manchester, Vt. — October 19 — Manchester Fire Department crews joined Dorset Fire Department for a live-burn training on Route 30 early Sunday morning. The drill, led by Dorset Chief Jacob Gribble, provided realistic fireground conditions and focused on coordinated operations between departments.
Northshire Rescue Squad handled EMS standby as a section of Route 30 was closed for safety. Manchester’s Tower 1, under Chief Chris Towslee and 1st Assistant Chief Jamie Green, worked alongside area companies from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A debrief and lunch followed at Dorset Firehouse.
The joint training enhanced readiness, communication, and teamwork among Bennington County firefighters.
