Manchester, Vt. — October 20 —On Monday evening, Manchester Fire Department firefighters held an interior operations drill focused on the donning and use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), also known as air packs.
Firefighters practiced meeting the 60-second standard — ensuring the SCBA is inspected, mounted, charged, and fully operational within one minute. The training reinforced the importance of speed, accuracy, and safety during interior fire operations.
