Niverville, N.Y. — October 18 —The Niverville Fire Department experienced a rare event on Saturday — two helicopter landings in one day within its district. Given the proximity to Albany Medical Center, such occurrences are uncommon.

Throughout both operations, Lieutenant Vecellio oversaw Landing Zone (LZ) command, making sure that everything ran smoothly and safely. Prior to being sent to an emergency in Glens Falls, LifeNet 7-1 made the first landing, landing for the ICC Big Truck Day community event. A short while later, Greenport Rescue requested Air 2 for a trauma patient, and it just so happened that Air 2 landed in the same spot.
