Ellington Fire Cadets Gain Hands-On Experience in Vehicle Rescue Training

Ellington, Conn. — October 8 —Cadet training on vehicle stabilization and extrication was held by the Ellington Volunteer Fire Department. Cadets practiced safe patient-access procedures, tool identification, and cribbing and strut placement under the guidance of seasoned advisors. Setting up a safe work zone, coordinating with EMS during simulated rescues, and scene size-up were the main focus of the session.
