Wantagh Firefighters Knock Down Working Fire in Levittown.

Wantagh, N.Y. — October 17 — Late Friday night, the Wantagh Fire Department responded to a house fire at 24 Chase Lane in Levittown after multiple calls reported flames showing. First Assistant Chief Bill Stevens arrived within minutes, confirmed heavy fire throughout the structure, and transmitted a Signal 10, Working Fire.

Engine 2, led by Captain Mike Fratello, stretched the first line to knock down exterior flames before advancing inside. Ladder 1, under Captain Andrew Carpentier, and Ladder 2, led by Ex-Captain Nick Finocchio, handled ventilation and searches, while Engine 3, led by Ex-Chief Joe Gross III, stretched a second line. The fire was knocked down in about ten minutes, with no injuries reported.
