Valley Stream, N.Y. — October 27 — Just before 4 p.m., the Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department responded mutual aid to assist the Malverne Fire Department at a house fire on Wolf Avenue. Tower Ladder 345, led by Chief Capone, operated as a working truck, assisting crews with overhaul operations once the fire was brought under control.
Valley Stream firefighters remained on scene for about an hour before returning to service in the village. The response reflected the continued teamwork and cooperation among neighboring Nassau County fire departments.
