Box Truck Fire Quickly Contained on Joppa Road

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Merrimack Fire Department units — Engines 1 and 2, Truck 1, and Ambulance 1 — were dispatched to a box truck fire in the driveway of 17 Joppa Road.
Crews from Engine 1 observed heavy flames visible above the trees while approaching the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found a box truck fully engulfed, with flames threatening nearby vehicles, outbuildings, and an occupied home. Swift action by the responding crews contained and extinguished the fire, preventing further spread.
The incident caused significant damage to the box truck and moderate damage to two vehicles, a trailer, an outbuilding, and a woodshed. No injuries were reported.
