OSFD Quickly Extinguishes Electrical Fire, No Injuries Reported

Old Saybrook, Conn. — November 6 — At 4:20 p.m., the Old Saybrook Fire Department (OSFD) responded to an electrical fire at the Old Saybrook Shopping Center. Crews arrived to find smoke in the building and quickly extinguished the fire before it could spread. As a precaution, the store was temporarily evacuated, and before it reopened, firefighters checked the ventilation and safety conditions. The cause of the incident is being looked into by the Old Saybrook Fire Marshal's Office.
