Cambridge, Mass. — October 29 — The Cambridge Fire Department’s Engine 1 conducted a fire drill and fire safety inspection at the Baldwin School as part of the department’s ongoing school safety program. The drill was completed in an orderly manner, ensuring that students and staff followed established evacuation routes and procedures.

Group 3 firefighters also went over the building's safety compliance, exits, and alarm systems. In order to stay prepared and guarantee seamless evacuations in the event of an actual emergency, schools are required by Massachusetts regulations to hold at least four fire drills annually.
