Campton, NH — October 11 — At approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue and New Hampshire State Police were dispatched to address a rollover motor vehicle collision occurring on the northbound lanes of Interstate 93, in proximity to Mile Marker 82 within the town of Campton.

Following a 911 call to the Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid reporting a southbound vehicle that veered off the roadway, overturned, and came to rest inverted within the northbound lanes, Ambulance 2 and Car 1 were immediately dispatched; dispatchers were further informed that two individuals were involved in the incident.

Upon arrival, crews discovered both occupants extricated from the vehicle, each sustaining injuries necessitating ambulance transport. In response, Plymouth Fire-Rescue was requested to provide mutual-aid ambulance support, while additional Campton-Thornton personnel deployed Ambulance 1 to the scene.

The high-speed corridor was shut down as firefighters, emergency medical services personnel, and state police conducted operations at the scene. Following the arrival of the second Campton-Thornton ambulance, the unit from Plymouth was cleared to depart the incident location.

The two individuals were conveyed via Campton-Thornton ambulances to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth to receive care for injuries that, while requiring attention, were not life-threatening. Following the extraction of the compromised vehicle, the interstate was promptly restored to traffic flow, albeit after imposing considerable delays on commuters due to the collision.

The response underscored the critical necessity of synchronized operations among fire services, emergency medical responders, and law enforcement agencies when addressing incidents on highways.
