Massapequa, N.Y. — November 2 — The Massapequa Fire Department, 1 Brooklyn Ave., conducted a hands-on training drill inside a local home donated for use by Dr. Jaime Monteforte and her father, Joe. The real residential layout provided firefighters with practical interior movement and search training that is difficult to duplicate in a simulated setting.

The department thanked the family for making the training possible and wished them well in their new home.
