Cambridge, Mass. — October 23 —In the Assembly Row neighborhood, firefighters from the Boston Fire Department, Somerville Fire Department, and Cambridge Rescue 1 participated in a Hi-Angle Rope Rescue training program this week, performing practical evolutions from the upper deck of a six-story parking garage. Patient movement, rope anchoring, edge transitions, and coordinated team communication were the main topics of the training. The course, led by Corvus Professional, emphasized safe rigging practices, system physics, and operational control—skills essential for technical rescues in multi-story buildings, construction sites, and steep terrain. Group 2 from Cambridge was on duty during Thursday’s session.
