South Killingly Assists Attawaugan Fire Personnel on Windham County First Alarm Call

Danielson, CT - Firefighters from the South Killingly Fire Department responded on an automatic aid first alarm assignment Saturday morning to assist the Attawaugan Fire Department with a working structure fire in Windham County.

Crews were dispatched at 11:12 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for a reported structure fire located at 80 Chase Road, within the Attawaugan Fire District of the Town of Killingly in Windham County.

Responding companies integrated into initial fireground operations upon arrival, working alongside host department personnel to advance attack lines, perform ventilation, and execute active fire suppression.

South Killingly crews helped bring the Windham County blaze under control and conducted thorough overhaul before repacking lines and clearing the scene.
