Buffalo, N.Y. — October 29 — Throughout the month, each platoon from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Fire Department completed a full day of training at the Erie County Fire Academy. The sessions included second-floor bailouts, maze navigation, aerial and ladder operations, standpipe evolutions, and live fire scenarios designed to reinforce coordinated fireground tasks.

The training focused on maintaining proficiency in core skills and improving familiarity with equipment and tactics used in multi-story and confined-space environments. Consistent, hands-on training remains a key component of operational readiness across the department.
