October 22, 2025 — Members of the Volunteer Fire Company of Western lent a helping hand Wednesday, providing manpower assistance to the Westernville Presbyterian Church during its food bank distribution.
Firefighters helped organize and distribute food to community members, continuing the department’s long-standing commitment to supporting local outreach efforts beyond emergency response.
The department expressed appreciation for the opportunity to assist, noting that community service and neighborly support are at the heart of their mission.
“We’re always proud to serve — whether it’s at a fire scene or helping our neighbors in need,” the department said.
