October 17, 2025 — The Whitesboro Volunteer Fire Department wrapped up its final fire prevention program of the year at Crosspoint Church, combining safety education with a special recruitment session for older students.
Volunteer firefighters and chief officers led the event, teaching students about fire safety, prevention, and emergency preparedness. For high school participants, the department introduced opportunities to get involved through the junior firefighter and volunteer programs, encouraging them to consider community service in the fire service.
“When the moment is given, take the chance to recruit and educate,” the department shared, emphasizing the importance of inspiring the next generation of firefighters while continuing to promote safety awareness throughout the community.
The department thanked all the volunteers who helped make this year’s fire prevention efforts a success, reaffirming their commitment to both education and recruitment as key pillars of their mission.
