Concord Working Fire Makes for Quick Knock Down

Concord, NH - City firefighters made for a quick knock down of a kitchen fire on Wednesday afternoon, November 4th.

Concord Fire Alarm dispatched Engine 4, Engine 7, Tower 1, Rescue 4 and Battalion 54 at 2:25 P.M. for a kitchen fire at 61 Noyes Street in the city's south end. First due Engine 4 reported heavy smoke banking down inside the two-and-a-half story single-family residence and requested the "Working Fire" assignment.

Acting Battalion Chief Stone took command and firefighters made for a quick knock down of a kitchen fire. All searches were found negative, and minimal damage was done in the residence as the fire was contained to the kitchen with no extension. No injuries were reported. The fire was declared under control at 3:00 P.M.
