Rutland, Vt. — October 25 — C-Shift members of the City of Rutland Fire Department trained at the Marble Valley Regional Transit Center on establishing an external standpipe. The evolution involved hoisting a mid-diameter hoseline up the exterior of the building to supply attack lines from a protected location on an upper level.
The drill allowed engine and ladder companies to work separate assignments while supporting the same operational objective, reinforcing coordination, communication, and fireground positioning skills.
