Colchester Responds Mutual Aid to Milton Second-Alarm Fire

Colchester, Vt. — October 8 — On Wednesday evening, the Colchester Fire Department was requested to assist the Milton Fire Department at a second-alarm structure fire. The initial report noted a confirmed fire with explosions.
Colchester responded with an engine company, a tower company, and a chief officer. Upon arrival, Colchester crews assisted with fire suppression, ventilation operations, Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) coverage, and overhaul.
The incident was brought under control under Milton’s command with support from multiple mutual-aid departments. No injuries were reported.
