Bethpage, N.Y. — October 16 — Bethpage Fire Department provided standby coverage as Wantagh firefighters battled a two-story residential fire on Chase Lane late Thursday night. The fire heavily damaged the first and second floors before being brought under control.

Bethpage crews remained at Wantagh Station 2 with an engine and ladder, ready to respond to additional emergencies in the district. Meanwhile, Levittown Fire Department provided a FAST unit at the scene and covered the district with an ambulance.
