FALL RIVER, MA - On November 2nd, the Fall River Fire Department declared a level 1 hazardous material incident and requested the state regional HazMat team be activated. The team assembled and responded to Rhode Island Avenue for an unknown substance and fumes that were making people ill. Command called for all of the departments positive pressure fans to be brought to the scene to ventilate the large commercial structure. Assets were tied up for several hours.
