Vergennes, Vt. — October 4 — The City of Vergennes Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a residence in the Town of Panton early Saturday morning. Firefighters arrived to find a vehicle that had struck the exterior of a home, causing heavy front-end damage.

Fortunately, the occupants reported only minor injuries. The residence’s retaining wall absorbed much of the impact, helping to prevent significant structural damage. Crews secured the scene, assisted law enforcement and EMS, and cleared without further incident.
