Spencerport, N.Y. — October 31 — Spencerport firefighters trained this month at a house on Shepard Road scheduled for demolition, using the opportunity to practice hoseline advancement, search and rescue, and smoke ventilation. Stage fog and red lighting helped simulate real fire conditions, giving members realistic, hands-on experience in a controlled setting.
The department thanked the property owner for providing access and noted that such live-structure drills are vital for maintaining readiness and safety.
