New York, N.Y. — October 16 — The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) welcomed members of the GyeongSangBuk-do Fire Department from South Korea to its EMS Academy at Fort Totten on Thursday. The international delegation toured the training facility, where FDNY EMTs and paramedics shared details about the department’s emergency medical education, simulation labs, and operational procedures.
The visit was part of an ongoing professional exchange aimed at strengthening global emergency-service collaboration. FDNY instructors provided demonstrations on classroom instruction, scenario-based drills, and field readiness practices that form the foundation of the department’s EMS training program.
