Jefferson Hills, PA - Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue provided apparatus and personnel Saturday to assist city firefighters battling a working second-alarm residential structure fire along the 2500 block of Walnut Street in McKeesport.

The mutual aid assignment was dispatched on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as escalating fire conditions prompted McKeesport incident commanders to strike a second alarm for additional regional resources.

Responding aboard Engine 1, Jefferson Hills firefighters integrated directly into fireground operations, supporting suppression and overhaul assignments on scene for approximately an hour and a half before being released by command.

To maintain continuous district protection and emergency readiness back home during the incident, Jefferson Hills personnel executed an internal standby plan, transferring Engine 2 to Station 1 to cover local calls for the borough until Engine 1 cleared the fireground and returned to service.
