An American flag flies over Sarasota’s Southside Village during the 26th annual Off on Oct. 11, 2026. Held outside Morton’s Gourmet Market, 1924 S. Osprey Ave., the event featured more than a dozen local firehouses competing for best chili while supporting the Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent Fund. Firefighters from the Tri County area brought their best to the cook off. Hundreds attended this annual event. Live music keeps the party going throughout the day.
