Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue recently dedicated its firefighter survival maze in honor of the late Battalion Chief Phil Collier. A respected and legendary officer within the department, Collier was the driving force behind the creation of an elaborate, multilevel survival maze built inside a mobile home. Constructed alongside his fellow firefighters, the maze has withstood the test of time and continues to provide valuable survival training to firefighters throughout Manatee County. The dedication honors Collier's lasting contributions and reflects Cedar Hammock's deeply rooted training culture, passed down through generations of firefighters.
