October 21, 2025 — Members of the Adams Center Fire Department, joined by firefighters from Adams Fire and Smithville Fire, visited Wilson Elementary School on Monday, October 20, to teach students about fire safety and prevention.

Due to rainy weather, the event was held inside the bus garage, where children learned important safety tips, met local firefighters, and explored several fire trucks up close.

The departments expressed gratitude to Wilson Elementary School for hosting the event and providing lunch, and to their neighboring fire companies for partnering in a successful day of community education.

Events like these, ACFD noted, are a vital part of Fire Prevention Month, helping children understand how to stay safe and trust first responders during emergencies.
