October 9, 2025 — The Gasport Chemical Hose Company, Inc. enjoyed a beautiful day of learning and fun during its annual Fire Prevention Day at Roy-Hart Elementary School, where students spent the day engaging with firefighters and hands-on safety activities.

The department extended heartfelt thanks to its neighboring agencies — the Middleport Fire Department, Hartland Volunteer Fire Company, Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company, and Wrights Corners Fire Company — for their teamwork and support in making the event a success.

Throughout the day, children explored fire trucks, learned about fire safety, and met the volunteers who help protect their community. The department emphasized that the event’s success wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated volunteers who spent their day sharing valuable lessons and creating lasting memories.

Residents who missed the event — or those eager for more fire safety fun — are invited to attend Community Safety Day this Saturday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.

“Stop by and experience what we do,” the department said. “There’s something for everyone, and it’s a great way to learn how to keep your family safe!”
