Ripley, N.Y.—October 17— The Ripley Hose Company #1 and neighboring departments wrapped up day three of a large-scale water shuttle operation, successfully transporting 188,088 gallons of water. Over the course of the week, the coordinated effort moved more than half a million gallons in total.

Under the direction of Chief Fisher and 2nd Battalion Coordinator Marsha Holland, the operation involved a strong network of mutual aid departments including Ashville, Chautauqua, East Dunkirk, Sherman, Westfield, Sheridan, North Lake, Findley Lake, Cassadaga, and Hanover Center. Ripley crews worked alongside these departments in a steady tanker relay that ensured uninterrupted water flow.
