Ripley, N.Y.—October 8— The Ripley Hose Company #1 hosted students from Ripley Central School and the Mennonite School for its annual Fire Prevention Day at the fire hall.
Students learned how to safely operate a fire extinguisher, the dangers of lithium-ion batteries, and general fire prevention practices. Using the Fire Extinguisher Simulator provided by Chautauqua County Emergency Services, the students had a chance to apply what they learned in a controlled, realistic setting.
