Hartford, N.Y.—October 4— Just after noon on Saturday, the Hartford Volunteer Fire Company, along with units from Argyle, Fort Edward, and Greenwich, was dispatched for a possible structure fire on West Road. Hartford Engine 3 was on the road within minutes of the call.
Salem Car 44 arrived first and reported heavy smoke throughout the residence. When Hartford’s crew arrived, firefighters confirmed a working fire and located a small blaze in the bathroom. A water can was used to quickly knock down the flames before they spread further through the home. Crews then worked to ventilate the structure and check for any remaining hot spots.
