The Fire Commissioners of Trailer Estates Fire Control District voted unanimously to close and disband the 58 year old Volunteer Fire Department. The closure came from a lengthy evaluation of the District, the investigation revealed medical calls were not being answered. Trailer Estates is an over 55 community with over 1,200 mobile homes being protected by the District. The Commissioners reached out to neighboring Cedar Hammock Fire District for permeant Fire and EMS coverage.
