Troy, N.Y. — October 6 — Troy firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at 12 Parkview Court after Engine 3 arrived and sent out a Signal 30, indicating a working fire. Engine 3 reported that the fire was located in the ceiling and had spread to the second floor, which led to additional firefighting efforts. Crews worked to find the origin of the fire and check for any spread to other parts of the building.
All residents had been evacuated from the property. Firefighters conducted a thorough search of the structure and confirmed that no one was inside. No injuries were reported.
The fire in the ceiling and its spread to the second floor required crews to inspect hidden spaces and affected areas to ensure the fire had not spread further. The search operations also helped confirm that no occupants were still present in the building.
The Troy Fire Department continued its response with engine companies, truck companies, rescue units, and EMS.
According to the city's official information, Troy operates five engine companies, two truck companies, a rescue engine, and three ambulances to serve the community.
