Firefighters from several departments responded to an early-morning structure fire involving a shed in a wooded area of a residential property. The incident required an exterior fire attack, with mutual-aid companies assisting in suppression and support operations.
The fire occurred on October 29, 2026, along Irish Settlement Road in the Town of Forestport, Oneida County, New York. The emergency call was reported at approximately 3:38 a.m., with Forestport Fire Department serving as the initial responding department.

Other responding agencies included Oneida County Emergency Services fire coordinators, NorthStar Ambulance, New York State Police, and National Grid. The response brought together fire, emergency medical, law enforcement, and utility personnel to support operations at the property.
As suppression operations progressed, responding units began returning to service at approximately 5:30 a.m. Forestport firefighters remained on scene to complete overhaul operations and address remaining fire conditions.
