October 8, 2025 — The Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company welcomed students from Wyoming Central School on Wednesday morning for its annual Fire Prevention Open House, held in recognition of Fire Prevention Week.
Two groups of students — Pre-K through 4th grade and 5th through 8th grade — participated in a series of engaging, hands-on activities designed to teach fire safety, prevention strategies, and the important role firefighters play in the community.
The event combined education and fun, helping students learn how to stay safe during emergencies while getting an up-close look at firefighting equipment and apparatus.
The department expressed appreciation to Wyoming Central School staff and all the volunteers who made the event possible.
