Wyoming Hook & Ladder Acquires New Engine

24 October 2025 — Big news for the Wyoming Hook & Ladder Company: the department has announced the purchase of a 2006 Crimson Spartan engine from the Navarino Fire Company in Marcellus, New York.


The newly acquired apparatus will undergo a full refurbishment at Colden Enterprises in Buffalo, New York, before officially joining the department’s fleet. Once complete, the engine will replace the department’s 1994 Pierce, which has proudly served Wyoming Hook & Ladder for more than 15 years after originally being purchased from the Bergen Fire Department.


Department officials shared their enthusiasm about the upgrade, noting that the refurbished engine will enhance operational efficiency and reliability for years to come.
