Rescue 1 Members Attend Roof Rope Rescue Training at Providence Fire Conference

Portland, ME - Several members of Rescue 1 participated in the Roof Rope Rescue class during the Providence Fire Department Safety and Survival Foundation Conference. The training, conducted by Signal 73 Fire Training LLC and led by instructors from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) and New Haven Fire, focused on the use of Life Saving Rope techniques for rooftop rescues. This specialized skill serves as an efficient, effective, and last-resort method for rescuing victims trapped in structure fires. Firefighters from multiple departments—including Washington D.C., Boston, Cambridge, and Providence—also took part in the hands-on training.
