October 27, 2025 - The FRAP crew recently attended the fourth annual Maine Junior Firefighter’s Muster, hosted by the Scarborough Fire Department. For many participants, it was their first time experiencing a muster, providing valuable insight into the skills they will develop at the fire academy.

The event also served as an excellent networking opportunity. Representatives from Southern Maine Community College were on site to promote their live-in and fire science programs, giving FRAP members the chance to connect with current students and learn more about future training opportunities.

The department hopes to continue growing its youth involvement and aims to send its own team to compete in next year’s muster.
