October 12, 2025 - Around 11:45 a.m., Fort Fairfield Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire on Center Limestone Road. Engine 2 and Engine 3 were first to respond, followed by Unit 7 and Rescue 2.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire on the exterior of the residence with flames extending into the interior, as well as a downed power line. The incident was upgraded to an active structure fire, prompting mutual aid from Easton Fire Department and Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
Thanks to a rapid knockdown of the exterior fire, crews were able to significantly slow its progression, allowing interior teams to fully extinguish the remaining flames. After an extensive overhaul, the property was turned back over to the homeowner.
Fort Fairfield Fire Rescue expressed appreciation to Easton Fire Department, Limestone Volunteer Fire Department, Fort Fairfield Police Department, Maine State Police Communication Center, and Versant for their valuable assistance at the scene.
