Monroeville, Pa.—October 27, 2025— The volunteers at the Monroeville Fire Department Company #4 have had a demanding week, responding to multiple box alarms and a variety of emergency calls across their first-due area. The station reports a year-to-date total of 1,010 fire calls and 3,923 EMS calls—figures which are close to surpassing last year’s totals.

Fourteen personnel were sent to a small kitchen fire in an apartment on Thursday night as part of a coordinated response that included the department's medic unit, chief officers, truck, and engine. The team put out the fire in a flash and stopped it from spreading to nearby units. The volunteers responded to over ten fire-related incidents on Friday, which included everything from reported fires and car crashes to gas odor investigations later in the week. Truck 4 assisted a nearby business on Saturday by going to Company #1's location to respond to a residential fire that was quickly put out.

Company #4 handled 1,015 fire calls and 4,377 EMS calls in 2024, for a total of 5,392 incidents, according to the department's publicly available statistics.
