Doylestown, Pa.—October 18— Firefighters from Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, located at 68 Shewell Avenue, completed their annual certification training on the department’s personal bailout system. The training ensures that all members remain proficient in emergency escape procedures from elevated positions.

The system—consisting of a hook, descent device, and fire-rated rope attached to each firefighter’s gear—allows for rapid self-rescue if traditional exits become blocked during interior operations. Members practiced anchoring, deploying, and controlling their descent under the supervision of certified instructors.
