Vehicle Overturned With Occupant Trapped in Early-Morning Incident

Gallatin, Pa.—October 20:The Gallatin Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Department was called to an entrapment-related motor vehicle crash at 09:46 Monday morning in the 100 block of Bunola River Road. According to the department report, the captain came to verify that there was a single car on its roof with one person trapped inside.

After stabilizing the overturned vehicle, the Gallatin Sunnyside VFD rescue team removed the side wall to give the occupant access. Following a successful removal, Tri-Community EMS was tasked with transporting the patient. Rostraver Township VFD and other fire department crews provided on-scene assistance, according to the local fire department log.
