Gallatin, Pa.—October 7: The Gallatin Sunnyside Volunteer Fire Department was called to the 3200 block of Rainbow Run Road at 3:34 p.m. after a school bus struck a house and another car, causing significant structural damage. Bystanders had already freed the driver before EMS arrived, and there were no students on the bus. Rescue 154 crews started stabilizing the damaged house while Rescue 140 and Squad 48 supplied wood and Paratech struts to shore it up.

Firefighters spent about five hours securing the building, removing both vehicles, and helping residents recover belongings. The American Red Cross assisted the occupants, and a building inspector evaluated the home.
