Durham, ME - Durham Fire & Rescue proudly introduced its newest addition to the fleet — a 2025 Polaris Ranger UTV. The unit will enhance the department’s ability to respond to off-road rescues and wildland firefighting operations.

A “skid unit” equipped with a portable pump and water tank is scheduled for installation in early spring, allowing the vehicle to be used for fire suppression as well. The purchase was funded through capital reserves, with decals generously donated by the Durham Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.

This new UTV represents another step forward in Durham Fire & Rescue’s ongoing commitment to protecting and serving the community with efficiency and readiness.
