Montvale, N.J. — September 27: The Montvale Volunteer Fire Department would like to express its gratitude to everyone who came to celebrate the department's Wetdown on Saturday. Firefighters, families, and friends gathered for a day of friendship, community spirit, and lots of water. Departments from across the area joined Montvale firefighters to celebrate the occasion, marking another milestone in the department’s proud tradition of service. Attendees enjoyed demonstrations, refreshments, and the hallmark wetdown — a long-standing fire service custom that celebrates new apparatus and the bonds between departments.
