Londonderry Firefighters Respond to CO Alarm and Route 283 Crash

Middletown, Pa. — September 25, 2025 — The Londonderry Fire Company handled two incidents Saturday morning, beginning with a carbon monoxide alarm on Deodate Road around 5:00 a.m. Crews from Engine 54 and the duty officer investigated and found a faulty detector as the source, with no hazardous readings present.
Later in the morning, Engine 54, Tanker 54, and Utility 54 responded to a vehicle versus deer crash on Route 283 westbound at mile marker 5.9. One patient was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Firefighters secured the scene and assisted with traffic control until the roadway was cleared.
