Weatherly, Pa. — October 22: The Citizens' Fire Company #1 Weatherly PA was called in at 15:07 Wednesday to help the Lehigh & Lausanne Rural Volunteer Fire Company (Fire District 19) with a rescue operation in Lehigh Township's Lehigh Gorge State Park. Twelve Weatherly personnel, representing apparatus units 2041, 2051, and 2071, responded. Because of its rough gorge setting and steep terrain, the park poses unique rescue operations challenges.
